Mutations in S1 and S4 gene nucleotide sequences of persistently infecting reoviruses from HTR1, Raji PI and CA46 PI cells, and corresponding mutations in the deduced amino acid sequences of their gene products (S1: σ1/σ1 s, S4: σ3) compared with previously published sequences of WT reovirus (GenBank accession no: S1 (X01161), S4 (K02739)). As reovirus occasionally undergoes spontaneous genome variations, nucleotide changes that were found in all the persistently infecting reoviruses and in our lab, WT reovirus were not included in this table (S1: 366, C–G, 367, G–C, S4: 624, G–A, 719, G–T).
