In vitro sprouting assay using different concentrations of GA3. Two weeks after storage, tuber discs containing one bud each were isolated and incubated for 5 min with 5, 25, 50, or 100 μm GA3 and water as a control. The tuber discs were kept in darkness and monitored daily for visible sprouting. A, The percentage of sprouted tuber buds after application of different GA3 concentrations during an 8-d period.
