Uptake of ribonucleases by chemical- or enzyme-treated mammalian cells. Labeled DRNG RNase A and ONC were incubated for 1 and 3 h, respectively, with CHO-K1 cells that had been treated with d-threo-PPMP, V8 protease, or neuraminidase. Total cell fluorescence was measured by flow cytometry. Values of fluorescence intensity are the mean (±SE) for 20,000 cells from ≥6 cell populations.
