GAD67-IR at the ultrastructural level. GAD67-IR is readily detected as a dark, amorphous, diaminobenzidine (DAB) reaction product (1a, 1b). Note that the GAD67-IR terminal (T) contains a population of small, clear, round vesicles (1a) though some pleomorphic vesicles were occasionally observed (1b). Unlabeled terminals (t) are identified for comparison.
