In panels A (mutant strain) and B (wild-type strain), symptoms of spray inoculation with Xac (O.D.600 = 0.5) on the abaxial surface of sweet orange leaves. The photographs were taken 30 days post-inoculation. In panels C, D, E, F and G, the strains were inoculated (O.D.600 = 0.5) into the side of the mid-vein (mutant strain, left; wild-type strain, right), and respective photographs taken 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 days post-infiltration, in each case.
