HEK-293 cells stably expressing TLR3 were mock-infected or infected with either the WT VZV or the mutant VZV ROka47S for 8 hours. Total RNA were harvested and subjected to a Reverse Transcription reaction. cDNA were subjected to a quantitative Real Time PCR in presence of SYBR Green. Primers directed to ifnβ (A) and isg15 (B) were used. RT-PCR was normalized using the 18S RNA expression level. Error bars indicate the standard deviation of the mean.
