RSV infection represses dexamethasone induction of MMTV promoter in A549 cells. A549 cells were transfected with the GR-responsive MMTV promoter and a constitutively active control renilla vector. They were then inoculated with rgRSV (MOI = 3) (open squares and white bar) or uninfected (closed squares and black bar) for 1 h followed by dexamethasone treatment for 24 h. MMTV-controlled firefly luciferase was normalized to renilla luciferase, and fold increase after dexamethasone treatment was calculated (A). In addition, Amax was also calculated (B).
