Comparison of the calculated collective mode to the measured hydration dependence for Ferro-CytC. The measured absorption coefficient, calculated quasiharmonic VDOS, and calculated absorbance αQH(ω) are shown as a function of hydration for several representative frequencies. The calculated VDOS agrees well with the experimental results similar to the Ferri results in Fig. 4. The agreement suggests the hydration dependence arises from these motions.
