Luciferase expression levels from P.falciparum-infected erythrocytes in transfection experiments. The plasmid pHLH-1, containing the hrp3 promoter controlling a luciferase expression gene, was used in all experiments. Experiments were performed in triplicate; standard deviations are indicated by vertical bars.
