The intensity of TH immunoreactivity was determined in the striatum, ipsilateral and contralateral to nigral transduction, in the same sections by quantitative infrared immunofluorescence. Five sections were quantified from each animal that received VSV (n = 5) or MV (n = 4); the graphs show the mean striatal TH intensity (± SE) for control and transduced striatum. There were no statistically significant differences between the virally infused side and unifused side for either pseudotype.
