Experimental and simulated (scaled) viscosities for aqueous solutions of glucose at 20 °C (top) and trehalose39 at 30 °C (bottom); glucose was simulated with both PME and IPS non-bond methods. The empirical equation of Chirife and Buera41 is included with the experimental viscosities. Standard errors of scaled simulated glucose viscosities mostly ranged from 0.02 to 0.08 cP (0.24 cP for ca. 5 m Glc with PME), and were less than 0.03 cP for trehalose.
