Using linear regression analysis, we found a linear relationship between the numbers of cells expressing two cytokines in the same tissue section. Considering response to therapy, we could observe a strong correlation (high r²) of cells expressing transforming growth factor (TGF)-β and interleukin (IL)-10 or interferon (IFN)-γ in lesions from poor responder patients.
