Mice 31–46 were transplanted with 1 ×105 IL-3-producing stromal cells and 9 ×105 stromal cells engineered to produce FL, SCF or IL-7. Mice 47–52 received 1 × 106 IL-3-producing stromal cells. All mice were cotransplanted with 1 × 106 human progenitors. Mice were sacrificed six to eight months later, and the percentage of HuCD45+ cells in marrow, spleen and blood, plus the percentage of human CD4+, CD8+, CD33+, and CD19+ cells in the marrow were assessed by FACS.
