An overview of the architecture of the wet-read Web application. Wet-reads are entered on the (PACS) displays using a Web form. They are then sent from the Tomcat Web server to the Java message service (JMS) provider, which then routes them to the appropriate destination. JDBC = Java database connectivity, HTTP = hypertext transfer protocol, SQL = structured query language, RIS = radiology information system, ED = emergency department, PDA = personal digital assistant.
