The position of the hand in the three conditions. In the ‘Close’ condition’, the hands were placed directly next to each other, while in the ‘Wide’ and ‘Crossed’ conditions, the hands were placed 30 cm apart. In the ‘Crossed’ conditions, the hands were placed such that the left hand was on the right side of the body mid-line and vice versa. The numbers indicate the numbering of the fingers as used in our analysis
