Density of the Lewis lung tumor cells at different body sites. Cell numbers were counted in ten random areas (1 mm2 each) at each site using paraffin sections. The average tumor cell number per mm2 at different sites was obtained and compared. Tumor cell density in the ear was higher than that in the back or footpad.
