TABLE 3. Effect of GABA-mimetics on BEC and brain ethanol concentrations.

Ethanol (3.0 g/kg i.p.) was administered 60 min before sacrifice of the rats. Groups of eight animals also received saline, EOS, AOAA and DABA immediately after ethanol treatment or GAG 60 min before ethanol treatment by i.p. injection. Values represent the mean ± S.E.M. for four (brain) or eight (blood) observations.
