¹The mean cell volume of long-lived RP MATa gene deletions is shown. Of the top ten longest-lived RP MATa gene deletions,³³ five (rpl21bΔ, rpl31aΔ, rpp2bΔ, rpl13aΔ and rpl19aΔ) were previously identified as whi mutants.³¹ Four of the remaining five deletion strains (rpl22aΔ, rpl34bΔ, rpl23aΔ and rpl6bΔ) had mean cell volumes (MCV) considerably smaller than the wild type control (BY4741). In addition, nop12Δ, loc1Δ and ssf1Δ strains were abnormally small, and sir2Δ cells were large.
