VacA induces co-segregation of endosomal and mitochondrial membranes. Wt or DKO MEF cells were incubated with H. pylori CS, either wt or P9A mutant; at the indicated time points subcellular fractionation was performed and 15 μg of early endosomal (EE), late endosomal (LE) and mitochondrial (Mt) proteins were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted; VacA, BAX, EEA1 and LAMP1 were revealed by specific antibodies.
