S. cerevisiae expressing no Als5p (EV), Als5p^V326N, Als5p^WT, or C. albicans were aggregated in the (A–H) absence or (I–P) presence of 100 nM thioflavin T. Aggregation state (upper panels) and thioflavin T fluorescence (lower panels) were monitored. The diameter of the beads is 2.8 µm, and all images are at the same magnification.
