*Immunosuppressants are defined as cyclosporine, mycophenolate mofetil, tacrolimus and sirolimus and these are administered for more than 7 days; Steroids mean more than equivalent to prednisone doses of 15mg per day for more than 7 days; Number of organ failure means the numbers of different failure statuses derived from the following 6 categories of organ-systems: cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, hematologic, neurologic and liver. Comparison of the organ failure variables between the colistin-treated and non-colistin-treated groups was not significantly different (data not shown).
