Natl. Acad. Sci. USA (100, 10574–10579; first published August 18, 2003; 10.1073/pnas.1733839100), the authors note the following correction. The first sentence on page 10574, right column, second paragraph, reads, “The guidelines have been adopted by the American Academy of Family Physicians (15), the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (www.aace.com), and the International Diabetes Center (16).” This sentence should be changed to read, “Similar guidelines have been proposed by the American Association of Endocrinologists (www.aace.com) and the International Diabetes Center (16).”
