(A) Retinas from P21 Nrl^−/− and Nrl^−/−Grk1^−/− mice were costained with isolectin B₄ (green) and VEGF (red), and DAPI (blue) was used for nuclei staining. Images demonstrate an enhanced level of VEGF expression in Nrl^−/−Grk1^−/− retinas in the OPL, INL, and IPL, whereas minimal staining was observed in the ganglion cell layer below the IPL in the age-matched Nrl^−/− section.
