Note: If PTSD did not mediate the relationship between exposure and depression, the ORs for depression by exposure would not be expected to substantially change after adjustment for PTSD. Similarly, if depression did not mediate the relationship between alcohol use disorders and PTSD, the association between alcohol use disorders and PTSD would not be expected to substantially change after adjustment for depression.
