Affinity constants (KD, nM) at four different temperatures (10–25°C) were determined from the kinetic rate constants as in Table I. KD for rhinovirus correspond to KD1. The average for two experiments for each temperature is shown, with errors in parentheses. Experiments were carried out using flows of 3 and 10 μl/min and with several concentrations of soluble receptors as described in Materials and methods and in Table I. Enthalpies (ΔH o) for the interactions were determined from the difference between the activation energy for the association and dissociation reaction as described in Materials and methods.
