Nonvigorous activity included activities with an MET value of less than 6, and vigorous activities were those with an MET value of ≥ 6.
MET-hours per week was calculated by multiplying the MET value by the number of hours per week engaged in that activity.
Walking pace and MET value were categorized as follows: easy (< 2 mph, 2.5 METs); normal (2 to 2.9 mph, 3 METs); brisk (3 to 3.9 mph, 4 METs); and very brisk (≥ 4 mph, 4.5 METs).
