Analysis of the purification and physical state of ORF6 protein. A) SDS-PAGE analysis of purified ORF6 protein. ORF6 was purified as described (Methods and Materials) from Sf21 insect cells using a 6X histidine tag and subjected to 10% SDS-PAGE analysis. The single band just above the 120 KDa marker is at the correct position for ORF6 (126 kDa). The gel was stained with Coomassie stain. B, C) Gel filtration analysis of the physical state of ORF6. Elution profile of purified ORF6 separated on Superdex 200 column. The protein was monitored by absorption at 280 nm (B). Fractions that contain the protein were separated on a 10% SDS-PAGE and visualized by Coomassie Staining (C).
