Astrocytes and oligodendrocytes limit neurite growth from SG explants. SG explants were placed on SCs (A) or the border between AC-SC (B) or OL-SC (C). Cultures were immunostained with anti-NF200 antibody. They were also labeled with either anti-GFAP or RIP antibodies (not shown) to identify the glial borders.
