Comparison of results at 1.5T using the maximum and minimum spoilers (67.9 % and 15.2 % respectively) for refocusing pulses of 90° and 160°. TE = 109ms in all cases. Note that increasing the spoiler improves the visualization of small branch vessels, but the effect is not as great as that obtained by reducing the flip angle.
