Effects of DS on NO production in HBMEC. HBMECs were loaded DAF-FM (50 μmol/L) with DS (30 μg/mL), in the absence or presence of the NOS inhibitor, L-NAME (100 μmol/L). Acetylcholine (Ach, 30 μmol/L) was used to validate our measurements. DS increased NO production, which was abrogated by L-NAME. The scale bar represents 200 μm.
