General secretion by arf1 ts mutants. Wild-type control (NYY0, ARF1) and arf1 ts mutant cells (arf1-11–arf1-18) were grown to an early log phase at 23°C, preincubated at 37°C for 30 min, labeled with Tran35S-label for 10 min, and then chased for 30 min. Cells and media were separated by centrifugation, and proteins secreted into the media were precipitated with TCA and analyzed by SDS-PAGE and fluorography. The secreted HSP150 is indicated by an arrow. SEY5016 (sec1) was used as a control in this experiment.
