Expression of γ-globin refers to γ mRNA levels in E12.5 fetal liver in crosses with mice carrying the human β-globin locus (line 72; Strouboulis et al., 1992). There was no significant difference in the upregulation of γ-globin between the different C/EBPγ transgenics.
