Microinjection was performed before thymidine treatment as described in Figure 3. About 100 cells were injected. Number of cells in mitosis was counted and expressed as percentage of mitotic cells per total number of injected cells. Note that only 7th delayed M-phase entry. Three independent experiments were performed. (B) Short-term effects of caldesmon injection on M-phase entry. Microinjection was performed before nocodazole treatment. Note that both wild-type and mutant caldesmon delayed M-phase entry. Three independent experiments were performed.
