Acute Hypoxia significantly reduced Left Ventricular Systolic, Diastolic, and Generated Pressures compared to normoxia in both normoxia -adapted rats* P < 0.05 (n= 12) and hypoxia-adapted rats* P < 0.05 (n= 11). Of note, removing the atria from the ventricle did not significantly reduce Left Ventricular Systolic, Diastolic, and Generated Pressures
