Wear stages (1, 2, 5 and 7) for maxillary first molars were determined by evaluating the amount of dentin exposure and cusp removal [50]. Wear facets are outlined in green, while dentinal areas are colored in red. The areas colored in dark grey (examples of wear stages 5 and 7) are the result of the coalescence of two (or more) wear facets which are no longer identifiable.
