Photoreceptor spectral sensitivities and reflection spectra of male wings. The reflectance spectra of the male dorsal wing (averaged of spectra 1–3 together with spectrum 4 of Fig. 7i) were multiplied with a D65 environmental light spectrum and subsequently normalized (bold blue and yellow spectra). The spectral sensitivities of Fig. 6 are presented as thin curves. The V receptor of ommatidial type IIf and the dB receptor of type IIm are shown in violet and blue, and the G and dG receptors are shown as green and olive-coloured (the spectra of the UV, PR and DR receptors are given in black)
