Binding between SPA4 peptide and recombinant-TLR4-MD2 protein by the microwell based-method. Native SP-A purified from baboon lung was included as control. Various amounts of purified native SP-A protein (2–10 μg) or SPA4 peptide (2–20 μg) were incubated with immobilized recombinant TLR4-MD2 protein (0.25 μg per well), and the complex was detected using SP-A-specific antibody. The results are from one representative experiment of three experiments performed in triplicate. The error bars represent S.E.M.
