In vitro antiamebic efficacy of clinically relevant drugs. HM1:IMSS E. histolytica trophozoites (104/mL) were cultured in complete supplemented with drug for 72 hours. Cell numbers were counted on a hemocytometer and scored as the percentage growth relative to ameba grown in unsupplemented media.
