(A) V-K562 cells or B-K562 cells were treated with 100 nM PMA (+) or vehicle (−) and 48 h later the cells were photographed. The right-hand panel shows quantification of the percentage of arborized cells. Values are means±S.D. for six independent experiments (P<0.005 by Student's t test). (B) Immunofluorescence of V-K562 and B-K562 cells that had been treated with PMA as in (A), but for 4 days. Anti-β-tubulin, anti-pol II and anti-BASP1 antibodies were used as indicated. The control is rabbit IgG.
