(A) The predicted basal regulatory element TATA in P_Xa13 and P_xa13. The transcription initiation site is indicated as +1. The nucleotide substitution, deletion, or insertion in P_xa13 compared with P_Xa13 were based on a previous report (Chu et al., 2006); the figure with a sign of deletion or insertion indicates the numbers of nucleotides inserted or deleted and the sign without a figure represents single-nucleotide deletion or insertion. ATG, translation start codon.
