Isoflurane induces a significant decrease in protein levels of paxillin in immature primary astroglia. Isoflurane treatment at day-in-vitro (DIV) 4 (3% for 24 hours) causes an approximately 50% decrease in the protein content of paxillin when measured at DIV7 (2 days post-treatment) (*p < 0.005; n = 4 per data point). Experimental cultures were compared with age-matched sham control cultures (designated as 100%). Corresponding representative Western blots are shown below the graph.
