ETA receptor signaling stimulates secretion of MCP-1 and IL-6 proteins by human mesangial cells. Serum-starved cells were preincubated for 3 h with BQ-123 (250 nm) or BQ-788 (1.0 μm) before the addition of 100 nm ET-1. Secretion of MCP-1 (A) and IL-6 (B) proteins into the supernatant was measured by ELISA normalized for cell number.
