Imposing N-domain proximity has distinct biochemical impacts on the ATPase modifying co-chaperones Aha1 and Sba1. A, Aha1 co-chaperone has a stronger apparent affinity for coilNMC compared with NMC. B, apparent affinity for the Sba1 co-chaperone is only modestly stronger for coilNMC compared with NMC. C, presence of saturating levels of either Sba1 or Aha1 reduces the difference in ATPase rate between coilNMC and NMC Hsp90.
