HeLa cells were analysed by flow cytometry 48 h post-transfection with the pNL-140.EGFP reporter and plasmids expressing either wild-type PKR, an N-terminal PKR mutant (PKR-N) or plasmid backbone alone (pcDNA3). Values represent the relative fluorescence of Env.EGFP normalised to reporter+backbone control alone and is presented as the Mean +/− SEM of four independent transfections. Env expression in the presence of PKR-N was compared to PKR alone using a Mann-Whitney U test. (* indicates p<0.05).
