PC12 cells were grown in 4-well Matrigel-coated chamber slides, treated with NGF for 5 days, and exposed to gammaretroviral vectors in the continuous presence of NGF. Representative examples of NGF-treated PC12 cells exposed to RT43.2GFP vectors were photographed with a 20× objective, 3 days and 7 days after exposure to viral vectors using phase contrast and a FITC filter. Representative fields of differentiated PC12 cells 9, 15, 21, and 29 days after exposure to RT43.2GFP retroviral vectors were photographed using a FITC filter. Scale bars = 20 µm.
