In FACS analyses, EPCs were positive for CD133 (B, 0.5%), CD34 (B, 4.1%), KDR (C, 3.9%), the mature EC-specific marker CD31 (C, 5.4%), the pan-leukocyte marker CD45 (D, 2.6%) and negative for F4/80 (D). Isotype controls were used in the FACS analyses (A).
