LPS intersects CD82 in the endocytic pathway, and CD82 is found in acidic compartments. RAW cells expressing CD82-mRFP1 were incubated with 1 mg/ml LPS conjugated to Alexa 488, and serial images were taken. (A) After 10 min, LPS had been internalized and showed partial overlap with CD82. (B) After 12 h, there was nearly complete colocalization between CD82 and LPS, as shown in the activated macrophage.
