Expression of endogenous E2FBP1 affects ICP0 accumulation, and vice versa, during HSV-1 infection. (A) Accumulation of ICP0 protein during HSV-1 infection was repressed by ectopic expression of E2FBP1 in HEK293FT cells. HEK293FT cells were transformed with either pcDNA3 (empty vector) or pcDNA3-2HA-E2FBP1 and infected with HSV-1 at the indicated MOIs. Cell lysates were prepared at 120 mpi and subjected to immunoblotting with anti-ICP0 (upper panel) and anti-HA (lower panel). (B) Ectopic expression of ICP0 is repressed by ectopic expression of E2FBP1. HEK293FT cells were transformed with the indicated expression plasmids, and cell lysates were prepared after 120 mpi and subjected to immunoblotting. Expression of ICP0 is shown in the upper panel, and that of E2FBP1 is shown in the lower panel.
