Surface expression of the HA tag. A cell line expressing wtMTHA+ was established, and immunofluorescence was performed with the primary antibody added either after formaldehyde fixation (Fixed) or before (Live), as described in Materials and Methods. Cells were then photographed at low power on an epifluorescence microscope. The antibody reactivity used and the time of antibody addition are shown above each column.
