. C57BL/6 GFP-positive NPCs were transplanted into C57BL/6 or Balb/c mice. Two weeks or one month later, brains were harvested and analyzed for survival and differentiation of the grafts. (A–D) The number of surviving cells per DG and the proportion of these cells expressing a mature neuronal marker (NeuN+) were scored. Survival and neuron production were significantly lower in allografts. * p<0.05, n = 5, compared with isografts.
